Green Legacy Social-Environmental Project – Leadership Program

The main goal of this project was to leave a green legacy. By green legacy, we mean a long-term positive impact for protection of the environment. It is expected that students know about the importance of the environment and its protection manners, the benefits of trees, clean environment, being encouraged for planting, and know how they can recycle and reuse materials.

APT Alumni Gathering 2021

During February 2021, APT organized its Alumni gathering for its debaters, judges, volunteers and APT’s former colleagues. During the event, APT Kabul colleagues briefed the participants about the recent changes of APT and its activities, new initiatives and requested the participants to share their impact stories and their ideas and insightful suggestions regarding the quality of debate and their support and contribution in the future.

Balkh Intervarsity Debate Tournament

On January 15 and 16, 2021, debaters from Balkh, Aria, Rahnaward, Taj, Nukhbagan and Mawlana universities in Balkh took part in one and a half-day debate tournament at Taj University of Balkh Province. Students engaged in a peaceful exchange of views and ideas, presented logical argumentation and reasoning on the topics around peace, justice, education during the pandemic, and women’s rights. Besides debating, students took part in fun activities that contributed to building a network among them. Two debaters from Balkh University, Miss Narges Rasuli, and Miss Rezwana Rahimi received the championship award and Mr. Sayed Sulaiman Usmani of Nukhbagan University secured the best speaker’s award. Mr. Naser Sadat –an expert debater and judge of our tournament, secured the best Judge’s award of the tournament.

APT’s Activities In Provinces

“APT’s activities in provinces do not halt despite all the ongoing challenges. Considering social distancing and safety measures, APT conducted an intensive 4-hour debate training workshop for the newly-recruited debaters of Aria University in Balkh province. This training commenced on November 17th and ended on 18th 2020. Following this, they are thoroughly practicing to be prepared for the upcoming Intervarsity Debating competitions in Balkh.”

Violence against women continues

Violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, and peace through the years. Now it is on us now to work together to end violence against women.

Mrs. Zadran visit the blind school in Afghanistan

Afghan youth representative in the United Nations, Mrs. Zadran talked to some blind youngsters during a visit from the blind school in Afghanistan.
These youngsters asked Ms. Beauty about the peace process and share their concerns about the current situation.
